PUTRAJAYA, 12 March 2026 – PRO-NET, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PROTON, delivered three electric vehicles, the Proton e.MAS 7, Proton e.MAS 5, Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV and smart #1 to the Ministry of Transport (MOT) as part of a government-led initiative to evaluate electric vehicles for official use.
The handover took place during the “Majlis Penyerahan Kenderaan EV kepada Kementerian Pengangkutan” ceremony held at the MOT headquarters, Putrajaya on 11 March 2026.
The initiative follows the official launch ceremony held on 26 August 2025 ago, where multiple automotive brands pledged support for the Ministry’s programme to introduce EVs into its operational evaluation fleet. Through this programme, government stakeholders will experience EV technology firsthand while assessing its practicality, performance and suitability for daily operations.
