Over 100 Insights, Experiences, and Ideas Shared in an Engaging EV Dialogue

Kuala Lumpur, 19 February 2025 – PRO-NET, the subsidiary of national carmaker PROTON, held its first-ever official gathering for both existing and future Proton e.MAS 7 owners on 15 February at PROTON DX centre in Quill City Mall. The event created an open and engaging space for discussions on EV ownership, fostering stronger connections within the growing Proton e.MAS community.

More than just a product showcase, the Proton e.MAS Pioneer Teh Tarik Sesh was designed to spark real conversations—about the joys, challenges, and future of electric mobility in Malaysia.

An Open Dialogue Over Teh Tarik
The session featured two interactive discussions where more than 100 valuable insights, experiences, and feedback points were exchanged. Participants—including EV advocates, early adopters, and those contemplating their first EV—shared their experiences and explored ways to enhance the EV journey.

Experts from SoyaCincau.com along with PRO-NET experts, led engaging conversations on key topics such as the transition to EVs, cost advantages over ICE vehicles, charging accessibility, and how the Proton e.MAS 7 enhances modern mobility. The open and candid format allowed attendees to ask questions, share personal experiences, and gain practical knowledge about electric vehicle ownership.

Reflecting on Proton e.MAS 7’s performance, Salawati Mohd Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of PRO-NET, shared, “Our goal with Proton e.MAS has always been to make the EV experience seamless, exciting, and reassuring for our customers. Proton e.MAS 7 has quickly established itself as Malaysia’s best-selling EV, registering 421 units in its first month. This strong debut secured its position at the top of the EV registration charts for January 2025, solidifying its status as the champion in Malaysia’s EV segment.

Since its launch in mid-December 2024, Proton e.MAS has secured over 4,000 bookings and is supported by 30 dealerships nationwide. With a commanding 25% market share in the EV segment, PRO-NET is leading the way in shaping Malaysia’s transition toward sustainable mobility.

Listening, Improving, and Moving Forward—Together
The event also highlighted Proton e.MAS 7’s evolving EV ecosystem, including PRO-NET’s Live Integrated Charging Map and upcoming OTA updates within the year, ensuring a continuously improving ownership experience based on customer feedback. What made the session truly special was the sense of community. Customers shared their experiences, asked candid questions, and offered ideas for improvements.

One of the proud e.MAS 7 owners, Ahmad Yumnie Bin Adanan, shared that his decision to buy the car was inspired by his son. As a father, he was impressed by how spacious the Proton e.MAS 7 is, making it easy for him to fit a stroller and install a baby seat without hassle. “Space is important when you have a child, and the e.MAS 7 gives us that comfort. It’s practical for a family like mine,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muhamad Iskandar Bin Abdul Rahman was among the earliest to book the Proton e.MAS 7, securing his unit even before the official launch during the e.MAS Tour’s stop in Kuantan. He was drawn to its affordability, advanced technology, and the assurance that Proton’s extensive service network would make maintenance convenient. “I never regretted switching to an EV. The technology, the savings, the convenience—after this, no more ICE cars for me,” he shared.
