The e.MAS 7 Tour proudly clocks a combined mileage of 3,224km in its nationwide EV journey thus far
Subang Jaya, 25 October 2024 – National automotive brand PROTON’s first electric vehicle, the Proton e.MAS 7 has covered an impressive 1,147km through the East Coast states of Malaysia during the third leg of the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour. Combined with the 894km and 1,183km already covered on its earlier southern and northern excursions, the total milage clocked on this first-of-its-kind nationwide EV adventure to well over 3,200km.
The one of a kind electric adventure by PRO-NET, PROTON’s new energy vehicle arm, has brought the first EV by a Malaysian OEM closer to all Malaysian car buyers and is also part of the rigorous testing phase to ensure the Proton e.MAS 7 performs flawlessly in its home market. PROTON’s expert engineers have worked tirelessly in ensuring the durability and reliability of class-leading hardware such as the Aegis Short Blade Battery pack powering the 12-in-1 Integrated Drive System while the intelligent software embedded in the e.MAS 7 has also undergone intense testing to ensure flawless integration and functionality.
Powering the Excursion North
Prior to the most recent leg, the second instalment in the e.MAS 7 Tour got underway with the convoy heading on open roads to the North of Peninsular Malaysia, showing off the model’s ability as a highway cruiser with regenerative braking and 160kW of power on demand. At the first stop in Ipoh, the tour engaged and impressed the public during visits to three different Proton e.MAS dealerships.
The entourage then carried on further northwards to the island of Penang taking in various stops at Penang’s popular foodie hotspots, places of interest and dealerships. As at other spots, members of the public who attended the engagement sessions were impressed by the powerful performance, intelligent safety features, spaciousness and modern design elated members of the public who stopped by.
Finally, the journey continued towards Perlis, with pit stops along the way at dealer showrooms in Sungai Petani, Kedah, where the Proton e.MAS 7 drew the admiration of locals who were excited to gain first-hand knowledge of the EV that would be launched in December.
Intelligence Heads East
During the leg to the East Coast, PROTON’s C-segment electric SUV was able to effortlessly traverse 1,147km through Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, thanks to its premium comfort features such as front ventilated seats with full-reclining capabilities, rear seats with 2-step adjustment, 33 storage compartments and a 256-colour ambient lighting system to set the mood of the drive.
Enroute to Kelantan, the convoy visited picturesque localities in Kuala Terengganu including the Drawbridge and Pasar Payang where the positive feedback from the local communities demonstrated their strong support and feeling of pride for Malaysia’s first EV. Dealer visits in all three states further showcased its best-in-class comfort and intelligent features underscoring the importance of setting new benchmarks in the EV market.

11 Central Hub Dealers to Host Exclusive Preview
The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour has now surpassed the mid-way mark on its nationwide EV journey. The fourth leg of the tour will shift focus to the central region states of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, visiting hotspots and the 11 Proton e.MAS dealerships that will host Proton’s first EV. The tour will run in concurrence with the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024 on 26 & 27 October at Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) – Hall 1 & 2.
The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour will be making an appearance at dealerships in the Klang Valley on the following dates:
