Subang Jaya, 16 June 2025 - PRO-NET, a wholly owned subsidiary of PROTON and the brand behind Malaysia’s national EV is powering ahead with its mission to bring electric mobility closer to Malaysians. This June, the company marks another milestone in its journey with the expansion of its retail network under the Proton e.MAS and smart brands. Three new dealerships in Kota Kinabalu, IOI Putrajaya, and Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur, are now operational, further strengthening PRO-NET’s nationwide presence and making EV ownership more accessible in both East and West Malaysia.

This announcement marks another major step forward in PRO-NET’s dealership and aftersales strategy, reinforcing its commitment to nationwide EV access and high-quality customer service.

Proton e.MAS Network Now at 35 Operational Dealers, 47 Appointed Nationwide
Proton e.MAS marks its first anniversary this month with strong momentum and growing public confidence. The e.MAS 7 has emerged as the fastest selling EV model in Malaysia to surpass 3,000 units, reflecting the trust that Malaysians are placing in the brand’s innovation, quality, and ownership experience.

As of June 2025, the Proton e.MAS network has grown to 35 fully operational dealerships nationwide. The most recent additions include Fook Loi Eurocar (Lot 3, Jalan Cenderakasih, Off Jalan Lintas, 88450 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah), Jewel Sonic (G-218 & G-219, IOI City Mall), and Peringgit Auto Max (Lot 261, Batu 3 ½, Jalan Kelang Lama). These outlets are now open and ready to serve, each equipped to deliver comprehensive sales, service, and support to EV customers.

In total, 47 dealerships have been officially appointed across the country, while 25 dealerships in operation form the foundation of a growing ecosystem that also includes 25 3S centres, 31 DC fast charging stations, and 10 Body and Paint centres. Together, these facilities ensure a seamless and confident ownership journey for Proton e.MAS customers.

With these expansions, Proton e.MAS continues to bring greater convenience and accessibility to more Malaysians. The brand now has a strong presence across the country and will continue to grow its network in the coming months to ensure even more communities have access to electric mobility.

smart Expands to Sabah with First Dealership in East Malaysia
In addition to being a key Proton e.MAS partner, Fook Loi Corporation (Sabah) now becomes the first authorised smart dealership in Sabah, offering both the smart #1 and smart #3 models under one roof. The Kota Kinabalu showroom features EV ready facilities and trained personnel, giving Sabahans access to a premium EV experience backed by full support and services.

This marks smart Malaysia’s first official expansion beyond Peninsular Malaysia, enabling customers in East Malaysia to experience the brand’s innovation, test drive its models, and benefit from its growing ecosystem.

Commenting on the expansion, Mr Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET, said: “We are proud of how far we have come in just one year. Our growing network is more than just numbers. It is about being closer to the people. Every new dealership means a new community we can support on their EV journey. We are confident that more Malaysians will feel ready and excited to make the switch. This is how we build the future together, step by step, from city centres to East Malaysia.”

Strengthening EV Access Across Brands and Borders
The dual brand expansion reflects PRO-NET’s strategy to offer flexibility, reach, and confidence for Malaysians exploring EV ownership. Whether customers are drawn to the national pride of Proton e.MAS or the premium EV experience of smart, each showroom provides high standards of service, product expertise, and aftersales care.

PRO-NET will continue to scale its dealer network in the coming months while working closely with local councils, utility partners, and developers to grow the EV ecosystem from charging infrastructure to customer education and service excellence.

With one of the most robust new energy dealership networks in the country and two strong EV brands under its wing, PRO-NET remains at the forefront of Malaysia’s electrification journey, connecting more people, more places, and more possibilities through innovation.
